We tend to think of portraits as static – a person, a pose, frozen in time and hung on a wall. Yet life is a series of constantly evolving events.

At Ultimate Films we believe in film’s power to capture life’s milestone moments, from a baby’s early steps, a special birthday or a graduation ceremony, to those unforgettable experiences that reinforce the joy of being alive.

This isn’t just home video. This is stylishly shot, beautifully lit, carefully edited film of people you love that’s worthy of screening in a cinema. There’s a timeless and emotional feel to our film portraits, which is why they make wonderful gifts, either as Blu-Rays, DVDs or digital downloads. Whether it’s the most exciting, high points of life or the most precious, we can work with you to create a beautiful film that you and others can treasure forever.

And sometimes it’s the everyday, ordinary moments that need capturing the most. A child running in a garden, filmed in slow motion and set to music, becomes captivating. A favourite walk in the woods with a parent. There’s a special quality that emerges with these types of film portraits.

We can produce Blu Rays and DVDs and organise your media as clips onto hard drives and Dropbox.

If this is of interest, please do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

Recent commissions include a private Supercar track day at Portimao in Portugal with FF Corse and a party of world class Michelin-starred Chefs catching and cooking seafood on the West Coast of Norway.

For brands looking for high production value within an affordable budget you can rest assured we will frame our subjects with a highly discerning eye and a sense of style. We work well with personalities – actors, celebrities, musicians, chefs, models, children – and our background as wildlife filmmakers means that we even work well with animals!

The Theory of Everything

“Congrats to ‘The Theory of Everything’ esp. Eddie Redmayne (and Floreat Etona!) for winning at the Globes, and to Johann Johannnsson for winning for best music (helped of course by his inclusion of the ‘Arrival of the Birds’ in the last scene!)”

The James Marsh-directed  film about Stephen Hawking has also been nominated for an Academy Award and a BAFTA for original score, as well as in other categories, so fingers crossed for more awards this season!
